Hey everyone, my name is Eileen, but my friends call me Leen, welcome to my craft room!
I am a wife of 29 years, mother to an amazing young man, a baby sister, and a long time crafter. My craft of choice has changed a bit over the years. After our son was born, I spent time teaching myself how to make needle tatted lace. I enjoyed following the patterns from the internet and books, but then I started creating my own patterns. I’ll be sharing a few of those here on the blog. A few years later, I tried my hand at scrapbooking. It was fun putting our family memories onto the pages and sharing our story for future generations. However, after buying all the things for scrapbooking I got bored with it. Trying to find a way to use all of the cool tools, the natural path led to card making.
I’m sure if you talk to any paper crafter, they will tell you the same thing; they always fall back to the tried and true; the favorite technique that never fails to produce the “perfect” project. I, like many others am no different in that respect, but I do try to learn and use many different techniques to make each card as unique as possible. I also occasionally venture into the realm of creating and making folios and mini albums when the mood strikes. Finally, during the holidays, my focus is on making gift tags and gift card holders.
When I’m not tucked into the craft room with some great music playing I might be enjoying one of my other favorite pass times. I enjoy reading as well as spending time on the range with my husband and son target shooting.
Thank you for dropping by for a visit. I hope you find something interesting and fun in your explorations. If you have any questions or suggestions for techniques I should try, leave me a comment on any post. You can also drop me a line with the handy dandy contact form here on the blog.
Enjoy your day, and please come back again soon!
Leen
