Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Another Sunflower Card post. From the moment I found out about the company Heartfelt Creations, I fell in love with them. The Classic Sunflower was probably the first stamp and die set that I purchased from them. Last May I shared my Flashback Friday Vellum Sunflower Card with you featuring this set. Today I would like to share another card I made. Let’s get right to it!

Another Sunflower Card

I just absolutely love my Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower stamp and die set! There are so many possibilities with this and Iโ€™ve just scratched the surface.

The stamp creates an entire background image. You can use it as is, or die cut the individual elements with the corresponding die. After stamping the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink I embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored the flowers with my Koh-I-Noor Woodless Color Pencils and used a blender pen to smooth out the color.

After using the die, I clean up some of the petals a bit before shaping and gluing them together. The right tool for this job are my Cutter Bee scissors by EK Success. Right now I have such a HUGE mess on my scrap desk that I cannot locate my flower shaping tools. So, I went back to basics and used the end of a pen and my small embossing stylist. To add more texture to the flowers, I added a bit more color without blending out the lines.

This card is made with all the same dimensions as the Vellum Sunflower card I showed you all last night. To change it up, I used the Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder and changed the orientation to the more traditional vertical fashion.

And here is a nice close-up of both flowers and the embossing folder.

Thank you for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday Another Sunflower Card post. This is such a pretty card with the embossed background and simple flowers. Unfortunately, Heartfelt Creations is in the process of re-structuring their company. It is my understanding that they will no longer be offering physical stamp and die sets. Instead, I believe they will be offering digital stamps and corresponding cut files. I’m not sure if they will be releasing new designs or re-offering their current designs in digital form. I will have to check into that more. Until then, I will keep loving the supplies I do own and treasure the beautiful cards I am able to create like with them.

Are you a Heartfelt fan like I am? Let me know in the comments below if you love them, or have never heard of them before today. Until then, have a fantastic weekend and I will see you back in the craft room again soon!
