Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Baby Mini Album post. I’m sure you can tell, for a while there, I was in major Mini Album mode! Not only are they fun to make, but they are more fun when you gift them to friends and family. Today’s mini album was made for a for one of my work besties back in the day. Let me show you what I made for her.
Baby Mini Album
A dear friend of mine from work is having a baby and I wanted to make her a mini album for the occasion. She doesnโt know yet if she is having a boy or a girl. With that in mind I went with a traditional yellow for most of the book. The cover has a beautiful iridescent teal blue accent while I used multicolored paper on the inside.
The finished book size is starting to venture a bit away from โminiโ status at 6 ยพโ x 8 ยพโ with a 2โ wide spine.

The inside pocket pages are about 6 ยผโ x 8โ. They are made from a sheet of 12โ x 12โ cardstock cut down to 12โ x 11โ. To add a bit of definition to the pages and tags I edged them all with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

This book has a bunch of tags that are large enough to place a full 4 x 6 picture on it if desired. Each page, front and back has 1 large tag, 2 medium tags and 1 smaller tag that can hold a picture or journaling.

And all total there are 24 tags.

Here is a close-up of all the tags with their sizes.

Thank you so much for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday Baby Mini Album post. I had such a fun time making this mini album for my friend. What was even better was seeing her reaction to the gift. She loved it!! Rounding the corners of the covers was an interesting adventure. Stay tune for next weekโs Flashback Friday for a short post about that. Until then, let me know down in the comments if you have ever made a mini album with rounded corners before. Have a great weekend everyone and I will see you back in the craft room again soon!
PIN THIS POST FOR LATER!
