Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Bottom of the Pile post. Every once in a while, it’s fun to play the “What’s at the bottom of the pile?” game in the craft room! Back in June 2017, it was town clean-up weekend—a perfect excuse to clear off the desk and let go of things I no longer needed. But in true crafter fashion, before tossing anything, I had to see what hidden gems were lurking down there.
The Bottom of the Pile
One Sheet Wonder Addition
This weekend happens to be our annual town clean-up again, so everyone’s sorting through “stuff” to see what can finally go. As I was doing the same back in 2017, I filled five Walmart bags with scraps, bits, and things I just knew I’d never use again. But beneath all that, I found some interesting pieces that made me pause.
In the first image, you’ll see two sets of One Sheet Wonder card layouts. The pink and orange pieces? I have no idea where they came from or if I still have the instructions—but they’re kind of fun to look at! The blue set, on the other hand, is almost ready to go. With a few embellishments, they’d be perfect for card fronts. And the best part? I think I actually still have the directions for those—also found at the bottom of the pile.

Mini Album Page Addition
The next image brings back memories with four different mini album page bases:
- Envelope Pages – These sealed, trimmed, and distressed envelopes were definitely leftovers from the Christmas I made mini albums for the ladies in my family. That was quite a few years ago now—LOL!
- Folded Pocket Page – This one’s made from a 12×12 sheet of cardstock, folded into a two-sided pocket. The original inspiration came from Ginger at My Sisters Scrapper.
- 6×6 Pages with Flaps – Six little album pages, complete with flaps and just waiting for patterned paper, photo mats, and a cover.
- Unknown Inspiration Page – This final page idea includes a base page, flap, large photo mat, and pocket/binding piece. I found it online and wanted to give it a try, but sadly I don’t remember where I saw it. If it looks familiar, let me know—I’d love to give credit where it’s due!

That’s it for today’s peek into the past. Time to head back to the pile and see what else I might rediscover!
Thank you for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday Bottom of the Pile post. While this was a great opportunity to clean up and clear out, it also came with a few unexpected—and fun—surprises. I’d love to say all of those rediscovered treasures are now finished projects, but let’s be honest… they’ve simply found a new home in the UFO (UnFinished Objects) bin! There’s still hope though—maybe finishing them can be a winter crafting goal.
Have you ever uncovered something fun at the bottom of your own creative pile? I’d love to hear about your forgotten finds in the comments! Until then, wishing you a great weekend, and I’ll see you back in the craft room soon!
