Flashback Friday CASE Card

Posted on February 28, 2025February 27, 2025 by Leen

Welcome back to the craft room and todayโ€™s Flashback Friday CASE Card post! Inspiration can come from so many places, but one of the best sources is other crafters. Back in the day, my go-to spot for creative ideas was the StampTV Gallery. With so many talented artists sharing their work, it was always a challenge to choose just one design to recreate. On this particular trip down memory lane, I came across a stunning fun fold card featuring a feather embellishmentโ€”yes, please! I knew I had to try making my own version. The only problem? Feathers arenโ€™t something I typically keep in my craft stash. So, while my card is missing that whimsical touch, I still love how it turned out. Let me show you what I created!

CASE Card from StampTV

One of the things I love most about visiting StampTV is the endless inspiration at every turn. There are so many talented crafters sharing their creativity, and every visit leaves me with new ideas to try. While browsing the Gallery the other day, I came across a stunning card created by Mandy, and I knew right away that I had to CASE it! (CASE can mean “copy and steal everything” or “copy and share everything.”) Below is a look at her beautiful design.

As soon as I saw this card, I knew I had to figure out the dimensions! Mandy was kind enough to share the details with me, making it easy to recreate. To start, youโ€™ll need a piece of cardstock thatโ€™s 11″ long, with the height of your choice. Then, score at 1.5″, 3″, 5.5″, and 8″. And now, hereโ€™s my take on this fantastic fun fold card!

The flowers and butterflies on my card are from the Hero Arts & Sizzix Antique Butterflies & Flowers Framelits Die Set with Stamps. I colored them using Copic Markers in YG03, R01, R20, YR68, Y17, and E13. Below is a close-up of the flowers, where you can really see the beautiful details these stamps bring to the design.

The card base is made from Bazzill cardstock, while all the stamped images are on Georgia Pacific paper. To add a bit of dimension and sparkle, I applied Stickles to the center of the flowersโ€”just a little touch that makes a big difference!

Thank you for joining me for todayโ€™s Flashback Friday CASE Card post! My card may not be as flashy as the inspiration piece, but I still love how it turned out. CASE-ing cards is such a fun way to try new techniques and put your own spin on a design. Do you have a favorite fun fold card style? Iโ€™d love to hear about it in the comments!
