Hello and welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Color Challenge post. Back in June of 2010 I participated in a StampTV Color Challenge. The color combination included my least favorite color; green. I wanted to stretch my creativity so I gave it a try. Keep reading to see how my card turned out.
StampTV Color Challenge
The color challenge at StampTV this week is Brown, Green and Ivory. This is a combination I never would have thought to try, mostly because I don’t care for the color green, lol. Here is my card for this challenge.

The paper is from a paper pack I purchased from Wal-Mart about 3 years ago. The stamp is by PSX and it has been in my craft stash even longer than the paper. I colored in the rose with Martha Stewart colored pencils and blended the colors with baby oil. My goal was to have this rose resemble a Peace Rose, and I accomplished that! The sentiment is computer generated with the elegant Renaissance font. I then cut out the sentiment with the smallest Nestabilities Petite Oval die. To add a mat to this, I cut the oval shape again and offset them just a bit.
I made this card for my mom, who does like the color green. Now all I have to do is put it in a safe place so I’ll remember to give it to her the end of August. LOL
Thanks for stopping by! Would love to know what you think about my projects.
Thank you for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday Color Challenge post. Would you believe I STILL have most of that paper pad left after all these years? Also I’m still not a fan of the color green, but I should work with it more often. What’s your all time favorite color combination? On the flip side, what color, or colors, do you absolutely hate working with? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, have a fantastic weekend and I’ll see you back in the craft room soon!
PIN THIS POST FOR LATER!
