Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Envelope Punch Boardย Matchbox post. Like many paper crafters, I like to be able to utilize my supplies in many different ways when possible. The Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers is one of those supplies. As the name implies, it is perfect for creating envelopes, however, did you know it can make boxes as well? Let me show you one such box I made with this particular punch board.

Envelope Punch Board Matchbox

The We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board has been one of the best purchases Iโ€™ve made in a long time. Not only will it allow me to make any size envelope, it can also make boxes. This cute little matchbox is just one type you can create.

Iโ€™ve already made a few of these adorable boxes. Each one uses an 8 ยฝโ€ x 11โ€ piece of card stock for the entire box. You will only need a few scrap pieces of pattern paper for the decorations. The finishes boxes are about 3 ยพโ€ x 2 ยฝโ€ x ยพโ€.

The first box I made is topped with this little paper bow, also made on the envelope punch board.

Here are two more boxes that Iโ€™ve made so far.

This first box is decorated with a rose made with three Retro Flower punches (EK Large Flower punch, EK 1″ Flower Punch, Bira Crafts 5/8″ small Flower Punch). The flowers are inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink and accented with Stardust Stickles Glitter Glue.

The next matchbox is decorated with a simple leaf cluster cut from Spellbinders Foliage Dies. The leaf cluster is inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. To create a little bit of dimension, I added a score line down the center of each leaf.

Thank you for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday Envelope Punch Boardย Matchbox post. These matchboxes were created as gift boxes for friends of mine at work. The tag inserts for the purple and light tan boxes were created to hold a necklace and the dark brown box a tie clip. I’m not sure why I didn’t add dimensions for these, but I would guess they are about 3 1/4″ x 2″. I did cut the top of these tags with the Envelope Punch Board. To ensure the necklaces stayed in place, I made two cuts into the top of the tags to hold the chains.

Do you own the Envelope Punch Board? If so, do you only make envelopes or do you use it for other items as well? I would love to hear all about it in the comments below. Until then, have a fantastic weekend, and I will see you back in the craft room again soon.
