Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Flower Chain Pendent post. For a while there, my crafting time was spent making jewelry. I had a real fascination with Chain Maille. I Remember scouring Pinterest for design ideas and then doing my best to follow the available patterns. One of my favorite pattern designs was, and still is, the Mobius Flower. It is probably the most simple design to create with 3 of the same size jump rings. The pendant I made with this pattern design was so much fun I also made one from my mom.
I didn’t go into too much detail in how I created my pendant, other than saying I added 1 additional ring to the design. Because of that, I did find this tutorial on YouTube that I will share with you today; Chain Maille Basics – How to Weave the Mobius Flower. Let me show you the pendent I made.
Flower Chain Pendent
A few years ago I had a fascination with Chain Maille jewelry. After purchasing a necklace kit from UrbanMaille.com I made a really pretty Byzantine Rose necklace. Last weekend while visiting the local Farmers Market, I ran across a lady that creates amazing Chain Maille jewelry. My fascination for the craft blossomed again!
This weekend I bought some jump rings in many different sizes. Then the hard part started, picking a pattern to make. I tried to recreate a pendent I found on the internet, but the size of the jump rings was way off and it just didn’t look that good. So instead, I created this simple pendent using the Mobius Flower pattern. I modified it just a bit by adding an additional ring to create a fuller looking flower. I also increasing the ring size as I added more “Flowers” to the design.

Thank you for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday Flower Chain Pendent post. This is such a beautiful pendant. I always wanted to use the same design and make a coordinating bracelet. Maybe someday I’ll get around to it. Until then, have a fantastic weekend and I will see you back in the craft room again soon!
