Flashback Friday Happy Birthday

Posted on January 19, 2024January 18, 2024 by Leen

Hey there and welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Happy Birthday post. The Large Blossom stamp by Hero Arts used today has always been one of my favorite stamps. The versatility is absolutely endless. Let me show you one version that was created while my son had friends over.

Happy Birthday

My home was invaded by a bunch of teenage boys last night! To save my sanity I hid in the craft room and created a new birthday card.

Photo of the finished Flashback Friday Happy Birthday card featuring the Large Blossom stamp by Hero Arts and Copic Markers.

I stamped the Hero Arts Large Blossom stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Since I’ve been using the yellow Copic markers a LOT, I decided to try something different this time. I used E00 Skin White and E11 Barley Beige for the blossoms. To add a pop of color to the blossoms I chose R22 Light Prawn for the centers. I picked a yellow green, YG63 Pea Green, for the leaves and E15 Dark Suntan for the stems.

I’ll be sending this card out in the next few days. However it finally occurred to me what the most difficult part of home made cards is. It’s trying to think of something to write inside the card!! LOL I may have come up with something witty and inspiring for this one. But I am wondering what all of you do in this case?

Thanks for stopping by and remember, comments are always welcome. If you have a link to a site with good verses for the inside of cards, please pass it along. I need all the help I can get!!

Thank you for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday Happy Birthday post. I really love this stamp. There are so many possibilities for coloring and for the background. I am also STILL struggling with what to put inside of my greeting cards. So, here’s today’s question:

When you create your cards, do you stamp a greeting on the inside or do you leave them blank to fill in by hand?

Let me know down in the comments! Until then, have a fantastic weekend. I’ll see you back in the craft room soon!
