Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday January StampTV Challenge post. Back in 2011 I was completely hooked on all things StampTV! Any new stamp sets I purchased? They were from StampTV. Any card crafting videos I watched? You guessed itโStampTV. And when Gina K. hosted a release party challenge, you could count on me to join in the fun. Let me share the three challenge cards I created, plus a bonus card at the end!
January StampTV Release Party Challenge Cards
This past Thursday, StampTV had their January release party, and before the hectic schedule of class starts for me today, I thought Iโd give the challenges a try.
Challenge Card #1
My first card is for the color challenge โ kraft, brown, & turquoise. The stamp is from Inkadinkadoo, and the ink if Mementoโs Chocolate Brown embossed with clear embossing powder.

Challenge Card #2
The second challenge was a technique โ Emboss Resist. I have always LOVED this technique, and after watching the snow fall all day, I knew I needed a bit of warm color surrounding me for just a little while. I used a stamp by Martha Stewart, while the striped paper is from a paper pack Iโve had for years. The Happy Spring saying is from Theresa Momberโs Sending Sunshine set. The inked background is Memento Inks in Dandelion, Tangelo, & Cantaloupe.

Challenge Card #3
The third challenge was โ 1 New Item. I used my new GinaK stamp set Friends are Forever. The flowers are colored with Martha Stewart colored pencils in Morning Glory, Lotus, Daffodil, and glade.

Bonus Card
And last but not least, hereโs a card I was just messing around with the other night. I used Martha Stewart colored pencils to color the image and stamped over it in off white ink and then clear embossed it. I should have used white embossing powder though, but didnโt think about that until it was too late. The stamps are from Theresa Momberโs Sending Sunshine and Asela Hopkinsโs Botanical Dreams.

Thank you for stopping by, and please remember, comments are always welcome!
Thank you for joining me for todayโs Flashback Friday: January StampTV Challenge post. Sometimes, all a crafter needs is a good challenge to get those creative juices flowing again! This particular challenge did just that for meโthough, to be honest, I had to dive back into my books pretty hard afterward. One fun discovery while revisiting this post: I still have most of the patterned paper pack I used for Card #2! In my defense, it is a massive packโbut still, it’s funny to think how long it has stuck around.
Iโd love to hear from you in the comments: whatโs your favorite type of card challenge? Do you prefer color challenges, or are you more of a sketch challenge fan? Personally, I enjoy both, though color challenges can definitely throw me for a loop when they involve shades Iโm not too fond of. Until next time, have a fantastic weekend, and Iโll see you back in the craft room soon!
