Hello everyone, welcome back to the craft room and Happy Mother’s Day! Today I am going to share with you a hardcover notepad holder. The original pattern is from the Your Book of Memories YouTube channel. When I made my book, the pattern was free. However, the owner of the channel decided to change all of her free videos into paid videos. Here’s a link to her YouTube channel if you would like to check it out. Your Book of Memories.
There are a ton of notebook holder tutorials out there, but this one is my absolute favorite. Not only is it made with chipboard, for a nice sturdy cover, but it features a ribbon pen loop. How cool is that?? Another feature I really like about this tutorial is that the back of the notepad is tucked into a pocket. This is more stable and will last much longer.

The notepad used in this holder is 8” x 5” so the cover is 8 ¼” x 5 ¼” x ¾”. The cream card stock is from Recollections and I used one of the cut-a-parts from the paper stack on the front, mounted with foam tape to give it a bit of dimension. The flowers were cut with my Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms die and the ribbon is from Offray.
The Notepad Holder

To cover the holder I used paper from the Violet Leaf stack from Die Cuts With a View. This is such pretty paper with gold accents. It also has a nice variety of bright and soft colors in the palette.

The Inside
Here are a couple of pictures of the inside of the holder. As you can see the ribbon pen holder is a nice addition to this booklet.

The finished measurements of the pocket that holds the notepad is 5” x 7”. Before adding the notepad, you will need to remove about 1/8” from the cardboard behind the pad so it can slip into the pocket. It is a snug fit, but removing any more and it might flop around a bit too much.
Thank you for joining me in the craft room this morning and for checking out the hard cover notepad holder. I also want to again wish all of the mother’s out there a very Happy Mother’s Day.
