Hello everyone and welcome back to the craft room!! Today I’m sharing the Hello card I created with the rest of the flowers that I made for the Color Throwdown Challenge #724. If you want to check out the amazing cards created for that challenge, check it out here!
The Background
I began this card with the background, the original idea I had for my entry into the challenge. I wanted to use the Garden Lattice background die, but I didn’t want it to cover the entire card. So, I cut a frame with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackable dies from 110lb gray Recollections card. From black card I cut the Garden Lattice. I glued down two sides of the cutout to the back of the frame and then cut the other two sides to size.

The simple Hello sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps was cut three time from black card. It didn’t really look right on the background, so I cut the shadow from a piece of velum.

The Finished Card
After attaching the background to the card base, I glued down the extra Simon Says Stamp, Etched Layered Daisy Stem flowers. You can see how I created them on my Thank You and a Color Challenge post.

I really love how this card turned out. Even though I didn’t use any foam adhesive, it still has a lot of dimension to it.

Thank you so much for stopping by the craft room today and checking out my Hello Color Challenge card! Do you ever get carried away with an idea and make more items than you need? If so, do you tuck them away for a rainy day, or make something right away? Let me know in the comments below.
Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you in the craft room soon!
