Good Morning and welcome back to the craft room! Today we are going to Use What You Have and make two beautiful Love You cards.
Occasionally I will go through my paper scraps and decide what is worth keeping and what should be tossed. Back in February 2022, I found this beautiful dark red pattern paper that was just to pretty to get rid of. One of the scraps was an odd size but I pulled it out anyway and set it aside. I also found some large scraps of gold card in the scrap bin so I pulled those out as well. Later that day I created these two simple, yet beautiful cards with minimal supplies.
P.S. I Love You
The sentiment on this card is from the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil set by Spellbinders. This sentiment set also came with two matching banner dies. I used the smaller of the two on todays card. The dies are a quarter inch wide and vary in length. The sentiment and mat were cut with the same die. Because it’s the same length, I cut the gold mat in half and carefully glued it to the back so it hung off the ends.

Sending My Love
This is the card with the odd sized scrap. It took a little bit of thinking, but this mini slimline size was perfect. The sentiment is from Yana’s Sentiments from Foiled Basics by Yana and Spellbinders with gold foil. Another issue with this scrap was an error in the printing. It wasn’t huge and I’m sure the recipient wouldn’t even notice it. To me, it was glaringly obvious so I covered it up with a few Soapy Bubbles sequins from Trinity Stamps.

Didn’t these turn out great? I’m so glad I decided to clean out my scrap bin and found this beautiful paper. Thank you for stopping by the craft room today. How often do you go through your scrap bin and use what you have? Let me know down in the comments and I’ll see you again soon!
