Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday Accordion Mini Album post. Today I want to share another mini album that I created as a Christmas gift for a family member in 2012. This album is created with five 6″ x 9″ manilla envelopes and styled as an accordion. This small album gave the recipient 10 pages, 11 if you include the back cover, to add pictures and journaling cards. Let’s get right to the project! shall we?
Accordion Mini Album
This cute little 6” x 6” mini album is another concept of Laura Denison from Follow the Paper Trail. You can find her video by clicking HERE.
To make this mini album you will need five 6” x 9” manila (or white if you can find them) envelopes. I purchased mine from the local Wal-Mart in a pack of 6. After removing the metal closure, both ends are trimmed so the final “tube” measures 6” x 8 ½”. Each of the five envelopes is scored at 6” and folded. To attach the envelopes together, you will be attaching a short end to the back of a long end. You can see an example of that in the following picture. (I have highlighted the way the envelopes are stacked together with a black line.)
This design will give you a big 5 ¾” tag for each large pocked and a smaller tag for each short pocket. I can’t remember what size I cut the smaller tags, this was a gift, and I didn’t write the information down before it was wrapped. Ooops!
All the supplies used in this album, the cardstock, pattern papers as well as the ribbon are from the Sun-Kissed Autumn paper collection by Gina K Designs. The Brag Book tag on the front cover tag is decorated with Stickles to add a little bit of sparkle and shine.

Sadly, the pictures I took Christmas Eve night do not even begin to do the color of these papers justice. They are all so very pretty, and such a good quality of paper as well.
