Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Flashback Friday StampTV Sketch Challenge post. Apparently, June 2010 was the year for participating in sketch challenges for me. Today I would like to share the card I made for the June StampTV sketch challenge. Stretching out of my typical comfort zone I did use pattern paper on my card as well as a stamped image. Let me show you the card I created.
StampTV Sketch Challenge
Here is this weeks sketch for the StampTV Sketch Challenge.

I wanted to do something different and use some of the pattern paper that Iโve had for YEARS. I had used this green paper previously for the color challenge, so I looked in the same paper pack and found this pretty purple colored paper. Using the color wheel, I picked out the red card stock for the base of the card. The floral image stamp is from Hero Arts. This has also been in my stash for several years. The image was colored with my Martha Stewart colored pencils and blended out with baby oil.
Here is the card I made:

Let me know what you think of the color combination of this card. Iโm not used to using patterned paper, let alone this many different colors on one card.
Thank you for joining me for today’s Flashback Friday StampTV Sketch Challenge post. Using pattern paper is something I need to continue doing. Why? Because I have so much of it! In fact, I STILL have the paper pad I used in this post. Now, in my defense, it is a Huge pad, but still. lol Do you have a lot of pattern paper in stash? If so, how old is your oldest paper pad? Let me know down in the comments if I’m the only paper hoarder. Also, check out the other challenge cards I’ve created here: Sketch Challenge. Until then have a fantastic week, use the paper, and I will see you back in the craft room again soon!
PIN THIS POST FOR LATER!
