Welcome back to the craft room and today’s post, Rosa’s Goodbye Card. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to another co-worker last month. I wanted to make her a card for all of us to sign, but I didn’t have a lot of time to create it. Rather than rush through something that I knew wouldn’t be perfect, I decided to try something else. I spend a lot of money on 12×12 pattern paper pads. Why? Well, because they’re Pretty!!!! So, for Rosa’s card, I chose to let the pattern paper shine.
Goodbye From Everyone

I picked a floral page from the Sage Park paper pad by Recollections. To pair with that I used a bit of my Tim Holtz rose gold Metallic Kraft Stock by Idea-ology. I received a few pieces of the metallic Kraft Stock ages ago in a card kit and I’ve been hoarding it, waiting for the perfect project. This card for Rosa was it.

For the sentiment on both the front and back I chose to use Perfectly Vintages. This is one of my new favorite fonts. You can find it over at Creative Fabrica Perfectly Vintages.

Gift Card Holder From Me
Because I’ve worked with Rosa for almost 10 years, I wanted to also give her a card just from me. I used more of the same pattern paper but to change it up a little bit I used a dark green card stock for the mats.

The card base is made from 110lb Recollections card in white and cut to 11” x 4.25”. I gave Rosa a gift card so I made a little pocket in the card base by scoring on the 11” side at 1.25” and 5.5”. I secured the little pocket on the inside front of the card with a strong adhesive.

To decorate the front of the gift card holder I cut green card stock mats to 4” x 4” and 4” x 1”. The pattern paper was cut to 3.75” x 3.75” and 3.75” x 0.75”. I cut Rosa’s name from the metallic Kraft Stock with the Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Bold dies.

Thank you for joining me for today’s post Rosa’s Goodbye Card. As much as I enjoy creating all types of greeting cards, goodbye cards for co-workers are never fun. I will miss my friend dearly and hope she is able to enjoy her much deserved rest. What are your least favorite cards to make? Let me know in the comments below. Until then have a wonderful week and I will see you again soon!
