Hello my friends and welcome back to the craft room and today’s Sheetload of Birthday Cards post. If you aren’t familiar with the Sheetload of cards idea, let me give you a bit of background. The concept was originated by Alicia of Call Me {Crafty} Al. Each month she provides a sketch and supply list to make from 1 to 12 cards with the least amount of scraps possible. I have been a huge fan of the Sheetload sketches for a while now and this month is no exception. If you would like to check out the May 2023 Sheetload of Cards sketch, check out Alicia’s video.
I have been wanting to bust through my 6×6 paper pad stash and although this sketch is for 12 x 12 paper, I decided to use what I have and created 4 really cool Birthday cards.

The Details
The pattern paper I used is a partial pad from My Minds Eye My Heritage 6×6 paper pad. I received this pad and many other goodies in the Simon Says Stamp Thankful Flowers card kit. I used two coordinating papers for each set of cards. Doing it this way I did end up with more scraps, but I’m OK with that. I did use some of the scraps to decorate the inside of each card. Let’s take a closer look at each card.
For all of the cards I used the Card Phrases stamp set from Stampabilities and The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped in either Vintage Photo or Black Soot Distress Archival Ink with the help of my Mini Misti. The card bases for all four cards is Recollections 110lb card from the Coffee and Cream paper pack.

The Cards
The first two cards have a masculine feel to them with the stripes and leaf pattern. In fact I have already mailed one of the cards to my cousin for his birthday earlier this month.

To add a bit of interest inside of each card, Alicia suggested using some of the paper scraps. I really like how this looked so I did that in each of my cards.

The next two cards have a very subtle feminine look to them with the floral paper. Having said that, I really love the soft colors on this image. It has always been one of my favorite images in this paper pack.

What do you think? It is always so much fun to check the collaborators each month for the different sketches. Even though the basic idea is the same, they each have a very unique look to their cards. Have you used a Sheetload sketch before? If you have, drop me a link in the comments below, I’d love to see what you made!
Thank you so much for joining me today for a look at my Sheetload of Birthday Cards. Please join me again next week for another adventure from the craft room.
