Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Folio Flip Album Show-n-Tell post. A few years ago, while at work, I had a great idea for a folio album. I could see clearly just how I wanted it to look. So before I could forget, I drew up a few sketches. As soon as I got home, I went straight to the craft room and brought my idea to life. Let me show you what I came up with.
I used nothing but scraps from another project for today’s folio. The pattern paper is from The Paper Studio’s Bella Bohemia pad. I’ve also used Tea Dye Distress Ink around the edges of the pattern papers.
The finished folio size is 8” x 5 ¾” x ½”. I went through a few different ideas before creating this album. The final product has the extra flap to keep the cover closed that measures 8” x 3”. The only thing missing is a magnet or ribbon tie to hold it closed. Other than that, I really love this cute little album.
The pocket on the inside front cover measures 5 ½” x 3”. There are three tags that measure 5” x 3 ¾” and are blank on the back side. It wasn’t until now that I noticed I had neglected to add the Distress ink to the tags. Because the base of the album is black, I will be able to add that in soon.
The waterfall flaps measure 5” x 4”. On this album, the last page of the waterfall looks a little unfinished to me. On the next folio I will be sure to add an additional photo mat to give it a more completed look.
